The Lindley Players
Formed by Ralph Lindley in 1946 and performing in local church halls, The Lindley Players eventually realised a long held dream when they purchased their current home, formerly the United Reformed Church, in 1980. A year of hard work by members converted the church into a beautiful theatre seating 186, The Playhouse. Since then a continuing programme of improvements has seen major developments in all areas of the theatre, most recently with a major update of the lighting and sound box and associated systems.
The Lindley Players put on a range of productions throughout the year - drama, comedy, pantomime and musical shows. The Playhouse also hired out to local theatre groups as well as visiting productions and events.
A coffee morning is held each Saturday from 10am to 12noon. If you would like to join, please write to: The Membership Secretary, The Playhouse, 104 High Street, Whitstable CT5 1AZ or call in on any Saturday morning.
