Canterbury Arts Council provides advice, encouragement
and financial support to more than eighty affiliated societies,
both amateur and professional, in the Canterbury, Whitstable and
Herne Bay areas.
It is funded by a number of generous patrons, notably
Canterbury City Council, and by affiliation fees.
Member societies may apply for grants for particular
projects or events. The council will soon be offering study bursaries
and, as funding increases, will begin a programme of masterclasses,
seminars and talks to further stimulate artistic activity in the
region.
The Bursary Application Form has recently been updated for 2008 and is now available from the downloads section.
Canterbury Arts Council is a Registered
